Las Vegas Shows Schedules Remain Unchanged

Las Vegas: Show Organizers Reed Exhibitions and the Reed Jewelry Group have reassured that the 2020 JCK Las Vegas and Luxury shows would take place as scheduled.

“JCK Las Vegas (June 2–5, with Global Gemstones, the Exchange, and JCK Talks opening June 1) and Luxury (opening May 31) 2020 will take place as scheduled,” a statement from the organizers affirmed.

It added: “At this time of global concern, Reed Exhibitions and Reed Jewelry Group are closely monitoring developments related to the COVID-19 virus. Our hearts go out to everyone impacted. The jewelry industry is a tight-knit community, and the well-being of everyone at our JCK Events—from our attendees and exhibitors to our staff on-site at every show—is of the utmost importance to us.”

The organizers emphasized that JCK Las Vegas and Luxury are following “the latest guidance from local, state, and national authorities as it relates to travel and participation in our events with the intention of keeping our exhibitors and attendees informed as they finalize plans for 2020”.

The organizers reiterated their commitment to implementing “up-to-date best practices” in accordance with public health guidance, including those issued by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. “We are working closely with the Sands Expo and the Venetian, who have indicated that their emergency management team is closely monitoring the COVID-19 outbreak at the global, U.S., and local level,” they stressed. “They are closely following the guidance of the CDC and Southern Nevada Health District for local direction.”

The worldwide jewelry industry sees JCK Las Vegas as the definitive show of the gems and jewelry trade fair calendar. It is also a place which offers immense networking possibilities, and where new connections are made. The organizers pointed out that “many rely on the important business relationships made during JCK Las Vegas and Luxury, one of the most anticipated annual jewelry buying experiences”.

However, they also underlined their intention to “continue to be proactive” in order to make any necessary precautions “to facilitate an environment for the entire jewelry community to unite, make meaningful new connections, and discover new products and technology”.

“We will keep you up to date as we get closer to the show, and you can monitor our website for up-to-date information,” the organizers concluded. “The safety of our exhibitors, attendees, and staff is our number one priority.”
